Connection Ministry Teams – Come serve with us!

The Connections Ministry Team plays a key role in the mission of our church. The following are a list of the ministry teams under Connections. There’s a place for everyone to serve. Come join us and see how God will work through you to make an eternal difference in the lives of others!

Administration: This ministry team functions primarily during the week to provide the following important services to the global Connections Team: Stocking visitor bags, managing correspondence and information requests, data entry, filing and document management, stocking and ordering ministry tri-folds (church-wide), printing and mailing tasks, phone calls, and other duties.

101 & 201 Classes: This ministry team gets the room set up for 101 and 201, makes coffee and other refreshments, sets up and manages the sign-in tables and related supplies. They welcome participants as they arrive and answer general questions.

Call Team: This ministry team has two main functions:
1) Calls first time visitors from the prior week’s services to thank them for visiting and to answer any questions they may have.
2) Call unconnected members who have missed two weeks of service in a row to see if they need help or if there are issues which need to be addressed. Often both types of calls involve directing people to staff members/ministries and praying with or otherwise ministering to folks. We also help make calls for special RLM projects, campaigns, and special events.

Connections Central: This ministry team works before and after each service in the lobby providing personal, face-to-face assistance answering questions and helping people connect into ministries, classes, small groups, and ministry service. (There is one team for each service—both Fridays and Sundays.)

Cooking Team: This ministry team plans, prepares, and serves healthy, tasty meals for the Visitor’s Lunch and other Connection Team events.

Visitor Lunch: This ministry team sets up and decorates the room for the event, makes coffee and other refreshments, sets up and manages the sign-in tables and related supplies. They welcome participants as they arrive and answer general questions. They help serve meals, if needed. They also eat lunch with visitors at their tables (one person or couple from our team at each table), to help people feel welcome, keep conversations flowing, and to answer questions during and after the event. They also help clean-up following the event.

Technical: We also have audio/video people that help with the Visitor’s Lunch, 101/201 classes, and other Connection Team events.

Give us a call or shoot us an email – we’d love to talk to you more about the many serving opportunities available to you and how you can become a part of our exciting Connections Team!
