Information Technology (IT) and Personal Finance
My Family: Wife – Becky; Daughter – Julie; Son – Scott, Daughter-in-law – Lisa; Son – Brandon, Daughter-in-law – Amy.
My Story: I was born and raised in Georgia. After graduating high school, I attended Atlanta Christian College where I earned a BS in both Bible and Human Resources Management. Shortly after graduation, I took a job as a youth minister in a town on the outskirts of Atlanta. After three years of ministry there, I moved to Florida to work at a youth camp for the summer. After the summer ended I decided to get a job doing IT work which eventually brought me to Spokane, WA.
I met my wife in Spokane and eventually we were married. I worked as the network administrator for Family Home Care and since my wife was an RN we were not able to attend normal church services together until we found alternative service times at RLM. We didn’t jump right in, as we were really unsure about being a part of such a large church. But once we joined a home group and saw how important and essential small groups were we started to volunteer and get connected.
In 2005 I was hired to be the Director of IT. I have held other positions while I have been employed at RLM but have always had influence in the IT department. In late 2013 I moved back into leading the IT Department while also leading the Personal Finance Ministry.
