Torin Browning

Operations Manager for Worship Arts Department

My Family: I have been married for 20 years to my wife Tomi. Tomia and I have a son and a daughter.

My Story: Was baptized at 12 years old. I was rescued by God from the alcoholic path when I was 17, in a chemistry class. I started playing music when I was 20 and I wanted to become a youth pastor. I was lead into the Music Ministry and volunteered many, many years until being employed at RLM as the Worship Arts Director. I am currently taking a break from music and pastoring and slipped behind the scenes in my current role at RLM. Originally I went to NIC to become an Electrical Engineer but plans were deterred. I ended up working at a lumber company for many years, got married and had a family. I have worked many various jobs (Truck driving; Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic; Transmission Mechanic).

Favorite Verse: “Therefore, God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11.

Food: Coffee and pizza.

Quote: I have two: “A little bit often; Is better than a lot every now and then” – Bill Krause. “There is a difference between being a leader and being a boss. Both are based on authority. A boss demands blind obedience; a leader earns his authority through understanding and trust.” – Klaus Balkenhol.

Hobby: Mountain biking; mapping trails and backcountry adventuring on my mountain bike.

Exercise: Cycling; lifting weights; walk-jogging.

Smell: Deep mountain air; fresh brewed coffee.
