Life Group Pastor – Post Falls Campus
My Family: I have been married to Tina since 1985. We have two adult sons, Ryan 28, and Justin who would be 25, passed in 2010.
My Story: Born in Pennsylvania, I left home to be in the Navy in 1983, where I served for 9 years in a variety of locations. I was married at 20, and a father at 21. I have been a custom woodworker for the last 25 years. I was raised with no particular direction in faith, just an obscure idea that there was a God. I approached religion from a very suspecting point of view, believing that to be “born again” was basically a nutty, TV evangelical term used by over enthusiastic followers of Jim and Tammy Faye Baker, Jimmy Swaggert, et. al. But through a relationship with Jim Putman (developed by my role as a youth wrestling coach) and the continuous effort of Tina, I was introduced to a different view of what it meant to be a christian. Then through the loss of my son, I have experienced a whole different view on top of that. I have been brought to a place of acceptance and total submission to His will for my life. And to an appreciation of the story He will create for me, by my following Him.
Favorite Verse: “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:14-19.
Food: A perfect steak.

Hobby: Trying to make it woodworking, again.
Exercise: When I get motivated? Cycling and swimming.
Smell: The smell as you step off the plane in Fiji. The ocean. Rain on pavement. Babies hair.
