WHO GOES TO THIS SUMMER CAMP?

If you’re a student that will
be in the 6th, 7th or 8th grade in the 2008-2009 school year then this is the camp for you!

WHAT IF I WILL BE IN 9th GRADE THEN?

Well we would love for you to go to the ETHOS high school summer camp and get to know the staff,  students and Pastor Nick.  That camp is June 21st to June 26th.  For more information call Ann Cone @ 777-7325 ext. 148.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO FOR A WHOLE WEEK AT CAMP?
If you’ve never been to a summer camp then you’re in for a huge surprise!  It is SO FUN!  You’re assigned to a cabin with a cabin leader and 5 or 6 other same gender kids.  You’ll start the mornings out with some devotions in your cabin, then on to breakfast.  After breakfast we have some group time and then off for FREE TIME.  Free time activities include; swimming, canoeing, basketball, tennis, skate boarding, volleyball, tubing behind the boat, Paintball,  Rock Climbing Wall, Huge Slide and lots, lots more!  Somewhere in there we eat lunch, play group games, squeeze in dinner and that’s all before we get to the best part– NIGHTLY CHAPEL!  Chapel consists of great worship, a powerful message and more worship!  You’re going to love it!  See you there!

 OPTIONAL STUDENT BREAKOUTS

 

This year we are offering 3 optional Breakouts.  Students do not have to sign up.  These breakouts will be offered   during free time.  Free time is from 1-5 p.m. @ camp.  Students that sign up for one of these breakouts will be with their breakout leader from 1-2 p.m. then off to free time until 5 p.m.  Students can only choose 1 breakout—no extra cost!

 

Breakout #1 – “WORSHIP BAND” – An awesome hands on experience where students will learn to lead        worship, play as a band, and much more.  This option is open for students who know how to play & can bring one of the following instruments with them:  Guitar (acoustic or electric with amp), Bass, Keyboard, Vocal (your voice)… or ability to play the drums (you don’t have to bring drums we will have them at camp).

 

Breakout #2 – “DRAMA TEAM” – Students with a     passion for acting will love this daily breakout where they will learn new skills and practice a skit that will be performed on the last day of camp.

 

Breakout #3 – “THE LEADERSHIP BREAKOUT” – Think you have what it takes to lead?  How about serve?  This breakout will focus on helping students learn to lead like Jesus.  Students involved will be invited to be part of the CDY 2008-2009 Servant Leadership Team.  This is quite a privilege.  Students involved with CDY Servant Leadership not only receive additional training and  investment above and beyond their weekly small group they are also the first students invited to attend our annual mission trips, special outings and late night fun!

Busses will leave at 2 pm.

 

Pick up students @ RLM #2 at 2:00 pm on Sunday, 8-3-08.

PAINTBALL @ SUMMER CAMP!

 

We provide paintball guns, masks, all paintballs and Co2.  Do not bring your equipment from home please.  You DO need to bring clothes to paintball in.  (Camo, extra layers, long sleeves and loose jeans are great!)

SKATING @ SUMMER CAMP!

 

Plan on skating at Camp? If so that’s cool—

just bring your helmet! Of course bring your skate too!
