As you probably know, Panhandle Health District passed a mandate requiring all persons in Kootenai County to wear a mask in public spaces when the minimum social distancing cannot be maintained.

We wanted to take a moment to let you know how Real Life Ministries is responding to this mandate. God’s Word drives everything that we do. As for the elders and staff, we believe that according to Romans 13 we are to obey our governing authorities unless they are asking us to sin. We have prayed about this and do not believe they are asking us to sin so our staff and volunteers will follow this mandate. We also recognize, and respect, that there are many people who conscientiously disagree with this mandate, and we leave the decision on this issue between them and the Lord. Despite having differing opinions, it is our hope that we can all come together in unity during weekend services.

As the mandate to wear a mask applies when social distancing cannot be maintained, we want you to know that we have worked hard to create environments with 6’ social distancing at all 3 of our campuses. This provides an environment where social distancing can often be maintained during the worship service in our auditorium. We are committed to the safety of our staff, volunteers and attendees while maintaining an excellent environment to come together and worship the Lord.

It is during times like this when controversial issues arise, where Christians are able to be unified despite differing opinions on non-salvation issues. This is a great opportunity as the Body of Christ to remain unified in Him and stay focused on His mission. We look forward to seeing you this weekend!
