UPDATE FOR tuesday, MARCH 31:
Dear Real Life Family,
We want to continue to update you on what Real Life is doing to serve our community and Be The Church during this time. Most importantly, we want to let you know we as a staff are praying for you constantly and are here to come alongside you.
We want to say thank you for all of you who have continued to give their tithes and offerings in this season. It is your giving that allows us to do things together we couldn’t do individually. Just as it always has, your giving goes directly to support local families in need through our Community Assistance program, as well as allowing our staff to focus on equipping our church for the work of ministry. We know many of you have begun to give online, and we thank you for setting this up. Others are continuing to mail in checks (1860 N Cecil Rd, Post Falls ID 83854). If you need help with giving, visit www.reallifeministries.com/give
or call us at 208-777-7325.
We also know many of you are struggling, and you need the Church now, more than ever. You are not alone, and we are here to help. Please check in with your Life Group if there are any needs in your home, or call our Community Assistance program for help at 208-777-8600.
Real Life Hope: What we are doing to help our church and community
We are so encouraged by our church and ministries’ efforts to connect resources to people. In a dark time, you are providing real hope to a lost and broken world. Here are just a few things we saw this week:
Our Community Assistance (Food Room & financial help) served hundreds of families stocking pantries, helping with specific bills, and praying over hurting families.
Our Real Life staff has made contact with 4898 since we moved services online: praying with, and looking for needs within homes across our county. One specific need we found out about was of a senior lady who recently suffered from a stroke and needed a wheelchair ramp for her home. In one day, we rallied a team to buy supplies and build this ramp for her! She was so grateful and moved.
Our Life Groups are looking out for each other in practical ways. One family brought a box of essential supplies to each group member’s doorstep equipped with toilet paper, sanitizer, and a handwritten note reminding them that “we aren’t out of toilet paper until we are all out of toilet paper!”
We want to continue to celebrate stories of Real Hope. Please email us your story at firstname.lastname@example.org
As we think of all that we have seen in our church in the last season, we can’t help think of a scripture posted in our lobby, which rings true now, more than ever:
“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” - John 13:34-35 NLT
Let love be our signature Real Life!
Areas you can continue to help:
Bring Specific Items to our Food Room
Canned Goods / Meals
We anticipate the need to only increase in the days ahead so if you are able to help in some way, please let us know and we will put you on a list to contact as specific needs arise.
We love you and are praying for you - keep watching your emails for updates and resources from us. Praying you have a great week and keep your distance socially - but stay plugged in to God and each other :-)
We are real people doing life together - we are Real for Life
